Anyways, here's my post for the day, however late it might
be. We had this "burlap garland" that I found at Michael's, which is
basically just a long skinny strip of burlap.
I'd seen lots of pictures on Pinterest of different
Christmas decorations using it, so I wanted to try it for myself, and this is
what I came up with.
Rather than sewing it to make it scrunch up, I just wrapped
it around a strand of 100 white lights and strung it around our downstairs
window.
I'm still not done with this area though, I think I'm going
to hang some candy canes, ornaments, or pinecones to finish it up.
I also love our little Charlie Brown Christmas tree, so I had to include it.
Here's a picture of the full effect of the lighted burlap garland... I think, considering how easy it was to do (and not to mention how cheap!!) that it looks pretty darn good.
Can't wait to see what it looks like with something hanging down in the window though.
Our basement has just looked like it needed a little love and Christmas spirit recently, so I'm doing my best to fix it up.
Anyways, always more to do and not a lot of time to do it in.
