December 8

It is officially winter in Kentucky. For the past few days the weather has been getting worse, and at this point literally everything is coated in ice. I hear Morehead got two inches of snow last night, but since I've been home in Lexington since Friday night, unfortunately all I've really seen is ice.

I was going to go back to Morehead this afternoon after church, but with the roads being super icy and the freezing cold weather, I wasn't in the mood for an hour and a half drive and then having to park and walk to the library. So, instead, I'm staying for another night.

Tomorrow is one of my biggest finals, Calc 2, so I'm spending the day studying at Starbucks. For some reason I can only study if there is no possibility of lying down in my bed, so here I am.

Anyways, this picture is from the bush in our front yard that still has a surprising number of leaves hanging onto it considering the weather recently. I've also decided that taking pictures of plants is still one of my favorite things to do.

Before I ever got a fancy DSLR camera, I always took my little point and shoot out and took pictures of flowers. I guess they must have turned out pretty good because those little plant pictures were actually a major reason that my mom decided to let me get such an expensive camera in the first place.

Well, time for some more Calculus. Hope you're enjoying my blog so far! I'm hoping to get better as this blog continues.
