January 1

Today was an adventure. First, Ashely and I went to White Hall State Park in Madison County for an adventure with my parents.

It was a beautiful day, so my parents told me I was not allowed to sit around inside all day, so this happened instead.

This first picture is of a one lane bridge right by what used to be Riptides on the River (a restaurant that recently went out of business)

It almost looks like it's fall instead of winter in this one, and that's probably why I like it so much.

Next, there was this old barn in or around the state park (not sure where the property exactly begins and ends), and I thought it looked really cool since it was obviously starting to fall down a little bit.

Dilapidated barns are a favorite of mine... maybe that's just because I want to live on a farm someday though.

Anyways, black and white makes everything cooler, but it was also such a bright day that some of the picture was a little bit overexposed.

Whenever something is overexposed and I try to fix it, it just seems like it's easiest if I make it black and white.

And here's another black and white picture of the same barn. It's not in too bad of shape yet, but it's certainly getting there.

Well, that's all for today picture-wise! After our state park adventure, Ashley and I also rode Pickle and Armani around for a little while, then headed home for some much needed sleep.

Very good day overall!
