Well, this post was put up late, but I was skiing from around 6 or 7 until past 11:00 at night, so I couldn't really upload any of the pictures I took there until today!

Anyways, I had a lot of fun learning how to ski and actually becoming somewhat good at it.

Ashley, Mackenzie, and Karl had all skied before, but Brooke and I went for the first time in our lives yesterday.



Considering our lack of experience, we did do pretty well though! By the end of it I had only fallen twice and she had only fallen three times, and we were able to go down one of the slightly tougher slopes.

This is Brooke... Considering the lighting and the fact that I was trying to learn how to ski, most of the pictures I took were blurry and/or just grainy and not very good.

I do like the picture from the ski lift above as well though, and I'm very glad that I didn't end up breaking my camera.

We were at Perfect North, and it was packed because it was college weekend meaning the cost of skiing (or snowboarding or tubing) was discounted if you had a valid college ID.

Basically a perfect time to try it out!

Still, it's not exactly cheap, and I don't know if I'll ever go without getting the college discount.

Luckily, there's another college day sometime in the middle of February as well, so maybe I'll go then.

I don't want to try my luck too much though, I know too many people who have blown out their knees while skiing, and although I didn't hurt myself in any way this time, I don't want to risk it!
