Still doing my best to keep up with this blog!Today Silvia helped me out by being my model for about an hour!
I loved the way the light looked today around 4:00. We hit just at the beginning of the golden hour, I think.
After I picked her up, we went to Ashland the Henry Clay Estate and took a few pictures there... until my fingers and ears were about to freeze off.

So, since we couldn't stay outside for very long, we ended up trying out a few indoor photos...
I've been wanting to see how pictures would look inside this used book store on Maxwell called Black Swan Books.
I'd never been in there before, but from what I'd seen through the windows, it seemed promising.
And, it was. At least when we were near this window.
The owner of Black Swan Books was super nice, by the way. I'm not sure if he knew we were taking pictures or not, but I don't think he would've minded.
He talked to us about college for 10 or 15 minutes after we got done looking around/taking pictures and he seemed like a pretty cool guy!
Also, fun fact: Silvia was HC Book Club President in high school, so the location was fitting!
I really wish I'd gotten a picture of the outside of the store now though... It's a really cool place like I said, but I don't think they're getting too much business these days, which is a shame. If you happen to be in Lexington and you like old books, you should definitely check out this store because it's worth a visit!
