December 24

Tonight I baked Christmas cookies from scratch and decorated them all! I even made the icing from scratch, by the way. All it took was a little food coloring added to my browned butter icing recipe and the icing was ready for fun!

I made these while watching A Christmas Carol (Scroooooge) with my family, a tradition we've had for Christmas Eve every year since I can remember.

We watched the movie and then went to Midnight Mass, where I took this (a little less high quality but still not bad) picture from the back of the church before mass started. I felt really awkward about taking a picture in church, but I felt it was necessary since I'm trying to get pictures that accurately describe my life for this.

Plus I've kind of always wanted to take a picture of our church from the back.

Anyways, obviously I added to this post after midnight, but we got to the church around 11:30, and I took the picture sometime in the 30 min before church started, so technically this picture is from the 24th!

Also I felt like the black and white added to the drama of our church...
